What is collected
Reading a page here does not require an account and does not ask you for your name, address or payment details, because there is nothing here to buy.
Like almost every website, the server records ordinary technical information when a page is requested: the address of the page, the type of browser, and a general location derived from the network connection. This is used to understand which recipes people read and whether the site is working.
Cookies and similar technology
Cookies are small files a site asks your browser to keep. This site uses them for two things: remembering preferences you set while reading, and measuring traffic so it is possible to tell a popular recipe from an unread one.
Advertising partners may also set cookies in order to choose which adverts to show. Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time through its own settings; the recipes will still work.
Advertising
This site carries advertising, and that advertising is what pays for the recipes to be written and tested. Adverts are supplied by third parties who may use cookies and similar technology to select what you see. Those companies operate under their own privacy policies, which are not controlled from here.
Depending on where you live, you may be shown a consent banner giving you a choice about this. That choice is respected and can be changed later through the same banner.
Affiliate links
Some recipes link to equipment or ingredients. Where those links earn a commission, it costs you nothing extra, and it never determines what goes into a recipe — a pan is recommended because it works, not because it pays.
Analytics
Traffic measurement tells us which pages are read and how people arrive at them, in aggregate. It is not used to build a profile of you as an individual, and it is not sold.
Children
This site is written for adults cooking at home and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
Your choices
You can block cookies, use your browser's private mode, or install an ad blocker. None of these will stop you reading a recipe. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to ask what information relates to you and to have it deleted.
